Its been a busy year with projects moving to completion and the grade II listed Smeaton House being the most recent after a long period of design, planning and renovation but pleased to see the wonderful final results for my clients and the contractor (builder – Best Little Building Company).
The photographer (Dom Jones Architectural & Property Photographer) again taking these photos, illustrating the attention to detail by the builders highly skilled trades to renovate the main house whilst our contrasting contemporary extension wraps the southern elevation, tucking behind the coach house to a dining and entertaining glazed room on the western side of the house. The landscape (designed by Second Nature Gardens) was a real challenge in threading the driveway across the formal gardens to a parking courtyard on the western side whilst retaining private terraced spaces close to the house. Massive credit again to our clients who we have enjoyed working closely with during the build, they were always clear with communication, patience with the planning process and calm with unforeseen challenges typically with older properties and importantly trust and freedom to Leaf as architects.
