This has been an intriguing project in that this Victoria semi-detached house whilst having generous room proportions and accommodation over three floors has modest kitchen space to the rear and was furthermore visually disconnected to the garden which was set at an angle to the main house. The solution was to design a single storey extension that linked the rear space of the house parallel to the plot, a subtle rotation in the plan allowed for some fun with an internal curved wall which hide ancillary accommodation such as WC, utility and storage. We secured planning recently and currently producing the construction drawings with a view to tender and commencing on site next year some time.
