Leaf Architecture was invited and commissioned to undertake the redesign and modernisation of the frontage of Rieke Packaging UK’s office which had a typical 1960′s ribbon window and concrete panel facade. To soften the visually harsh horizontal language of the elevation we proposed to divide the elevation into new vertical panels of insulated render and insulated Marley Equitone Panels together with new high performance aluminium powder coated windows, collectively improving the visual appearance, thermal and acoustic performance. The reception has been upgraded with new contemporary steel and frameless glass staircase and is due for completion next week following a new tarmacadum car park to the frontage.
