Leaf Architecture thrives on the challenges of how we can extract an exciting new home out of the structure of an existing dated dwelling. The client in this instance commissioned Leaf Architecture after seeing examples of our work to remodel, extend and alter a 1970/80’s detached dwelling on a good plot in Collingtree, Northamptonshire. The front elevation was visually blighted by an awkward red tiled mono-pitched roof extended forward over the garage, the remaining glazing distribution was messy. We created a bold new face to the building with an impressive part glazed gable and vaulted hallway space now creating a distinctive appearance in render with accent panels in timber and aluminium. The ground floor of the house has been opened up to create a large open plan family space to the rear with corner bi-fold doors whilst the first floor now has 4 generous bedrooms, the master having dressing wardrobe space, en-suite and external terrace.
