The owners of this property approached Leaf with the brief and opportunity to design a totally radical and modern vision for this house, transforming it from a detached brick cottage with an attic conversion to a modern, spacious family house with 4 double bedrooms that better responded to their private garden also. The resulting design used the core structure of the original house but formed new accommodation to the rear through a series of rendered and cedar boxes and a flying buttress enclosing an inner courtyard. The clients inspired internal fittings, finishes and decoration has given the house a strong personality yet homely.
