Smeaton House is a grade II listed property which was acquired by our clients in an incredible poor state of condition dates back to the mid 18th century with late 19th century alterations and detached coach house, built as a private house and then adapted as a school soon afterwards. The challenge was to undertake a full renovation of the property matching existing traditional materials and craftsmanship but also linking the detached coach house with a contrasting contemporary extension which provided an opportunity to maximised a glazed connection to the south facing gardens.
