This was an exciting project to be involved with from the start as it had the perfect recipe to be a fantastic project, wonderful setting, period house and a client who was informed, driven and open to design opportunities…

The existing house is situated on a sort after road in Cropston in north Leicestershire and whilst had some period arts & craft charm it didn’t really emphasis its potential and suffered a dated internal layout, underwhelming entrance and numerous visually awkward rear extensions.

The design concept was to add a new dramatic entrance feature, consolidate and extend to the rear, improve circulation and room proportions an unify the whole appearance with render and local stone along with crittal glazing, the resulting design looks fantastic principally due to the clients control of quality and internal design choices.
